Academics Photo Shoot Preview

The story
I think that this is the best in telling a story because of the mom cat and the kitten looking at it. I think the story kind of show the relationship between the mom cat and kitten that relies on the mom cat.

  Action or emotion
I think the action is the fact that their getting pumped for the football game they going to play or they just won a big game but the emotion is happiness.

 Filling the frame
I think this is filled with interesting stuff because its not everyday you see a bunch of waldo riding a tricycle in a race.

quick write best wildlife photos

i think the Africa photo are the better photos. i like some of the winner of 2013 but overall i like Africa because of the more detail and incredible photos.

Elements of art/ Principles of Design

ELEMENTS OF ART:
Line: Something resembling a traced line, as a band of color, a seam,or a furrowKitwancool by Emily Carr Their are a lot of lines on this painting.
Shape: The quality of a distinct object or body in having an external surface or outline of specific form or figure.
Cave Painting the outline of ox is on organic shape

Color: The quality of an object or substance with respect to light reflected by the object, usually determined visually by measurement of hue, saturation, and brightness of the reflected light; saturation or chroma; hue.
The Kiss by Gustav Klimt  The colors stand out to create two people
Value (tone): Lightness, brightness or value of a patch in a photograph: dark tones correspond to shadows, light tones correspond to bright or highlight areas.
Hand with reflecting sphere by M.C. Escher

The colors change in brightness to crate a incredibly good painting

Form: External appearance of a clearly defined area, as distinguished from color or material; configuration
The Three Sphinx of Bikini by Salvador Dali

the form has a 3-d affect

Texture: The characteristic visual and tactile quality of the surface of a work of art resulting from the way in which the materials are used.
Bathing at La Grenouillere by Claude Monet there's texture because he uses a different way of painting
Space: The designed and structured surface of a picture
Paintings of Banksy there is only two things in a blank background

PRINCIPLES OF DESIGN:
Balance: As a basic principle of art (specifically of design), the definition of balance refers to the ways in which the elements (lines, shapes, colors, textures, etc.) of a piece are arranged.Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vinci  all people are balance
Contrast: Opposition or juxtaposition of different forms, lines, or colors ina work of art to intensify each element's properties and produces more dynamic expressiveness.Hand with reflecting sphere by M.C. Escher their is contrast just to make this photo
Emphasis: Prominence, as of form or outline
The Girl with the Pearl Earring by Johannes Vermeer The background is black and they colored it with bright color to emphasis the figure
Movement: Abundance of events or incidents.
The School of Athens by Raphael  Their is movement all in this picture
Pattern: A decorative design, as for wallpaper, china, or textile fabrics, etc.
Campbell’s soup cans by Andy Warhol I repeats over and over again
Rhythm: A patterned repetition of a motif, formal element, etc., at regular or irregular intervals in the same or a modified form.
The Gossips by Norman Rockwell I repeat the pattern but changes the form
Unity: A whole or totality as combining all its parts into one.
Paintings of Edgar Mueller it combination of two things

Mural Project Preview

1. In the mural i think it should include a eagle and the academies in the Akins and i think it also should include stuff that Akins only has to make us stand out compare to the other schools.
2. I think that it makes us stand out as a campus and so we can also show school pride.
3. a disadvantage is that the quality wont be the same as a regular camera and a advantage is that it is easier to access and you almost always carry around are phones.
4.A disadvantage is you don't always have them handy and advantage is that the quality are amazing.
5.I think SLR because of their better quality.

Africa

I think that the photo in the power point are just amazing and it most of took a lot of patience to take those photo the way that the photographer wanted.
I think this is my favorite because of the way the sun rays come down in this photo and the many giraffe that are taken in this photo.
I think that one of the rules it follows is line because of the sun rays coming down from the sky to hit the earth.
Nick Brandt used a Pentax 67II camera. one of his goals being to record a last testament to the wild animals and places there before they are destroyed by the hands of man.His hope is to memorialize the vanishing natural grandeur of East Africa.frustrated that he could not capture on film his feelings about and love for animals, "I realized there was a way to achieve this through photography, in a way that I felt no-one had really done before."

selfie quick write

I think its disrespectful because the people around her are praying, and she in the middle with her phone out. Its okay if she doesn't pray because she too little to under stand but its the fact that she takes out her phone that makes it disrespectful.

Avoiding Mergers

I think this is a good example of avoiding mergers because 3 piece of a building are standing and not merging together.

Framing

I think this is a good example because the window is being use for the frame.

Balance

i think this is good example of balance because of two details, one is that both sides of the photo have the wire that supports the bridge and the second think is they meet and create a geometric shape.

Lines

I think this a good example because on the side of the building it show the deep line and that building is created to show these lines.

Rule of Thirds

I think this is a good a example of rule of third because all the bottom are just buildings and there are only three that rises from the sea of buildings to the top of the photo.

Simplicity

I think this is a good example of simplicity because it only focus on the building.
